The United States is in the midst of one of steepest economic downturns in decades. Across the nation, people are losing jobs, unemployment is rising, home foreclosures are at record high levels, financial institutions are imploding, and the bad news just continues on the economic front. Real estate markets across the country have been battered by the economic meltdown. Many of us are asking, when will this end, how much further do we have to go before we hit bottom, and how long will it be before we see growth once again.
RICS Americas chairman, Thomas Justin CRE, FRICS is moderating the "Economic and Real Estate Outlook: Capital Markets - 2009 and Beyond" conference on January 15, 2009.
Among the nationally acclaimed panelists, Mark Zandi and Sam Chandan PhD, FRICS have been institutions for this annual event for ULI New York. These three nationwide speakers who are often quoted will provide a comprehensive assessment of the national and regional economy, as well as an out look for the commercial real estate markets in the tri-state New York region.
