Canadian Commercial Council of Realtors Welcomes Karen Barry MRICS as New Chair

OTTAWA -- April 22, 2010 -- The Canadian Real Estate Association has announced the election of Karen Barry MRICS as the Canadian Commercial Council (CCC) Chair on the CREA Board of Directors.

Ms. Barry is currently the president of Barry Commercial Real Estate, a boutique investment brokerage firm, and Barry Realty Advisors, specializing in the valuation of commercial property in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Her 21-year career achievements include multi-year recognition as one of Canada's national top ‘30’ sales producers and recognition as the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Agent of the Year recipient.

In 2002, Ms. Barry achieved the AACI designation with the Appraisal Institute of Canada and, in 2008, received her MRICS designation with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
